Lily Slash
Sergi Brosa's Character

Genesis

I created this piece based on Lily Slash, a character designed by Sergi Brosa.
His work had been a strong reference for me for a long time, and when I came across this character I immediately visualised a translation into an Art Toy.
At the time I was also working on a series of figures for María Escoté, so this project naturally carried that approach of a stylised attitude and a fashion-leaning silhouette.
Process
The character combines elements of anime, post-apocalyptic design and a kind of tech-warrior aesthetic, which made it very stimulating to interpret.
The biggest challenge was the amount of detail in the original illustration: armour pieces, accessories, straps, textures and the missile launcher she carries.

The process became a balance between respecting Brosa’s style of drawing and finding the right volumes so the figure worked as a physical object. It was a demanding piece technically, especially at the scale I was working, but the detail-oriented part of it was exactly what made the project engaging.
Outcome

This was a self-initiated project, made simply from the interest of translating a character I admired into my own sculptural language. It became a good exercise in handling high-density detail without losing clarity, and it helped me refine how I adapt illustrated characters into three-dimensional forms.
